The 175th City of New Braunfels Anniversary gateway signs reflect the industrial vernacular found in New Braunfels both historically and now. The weathered steel panels, the steel truss along with the stone base are all structural materials and arch forms that are a part of this great Texan City. The use of blue references the confluence of the two major rivers that flow through New Braunfels, the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers. As indicated by the 175th Medallion Seal, the monument sign commemorates not only the first 175 years of New Braunfels but is a demarcation of the City’s bright future.
